GOP Vixen has another hard-hitting analysis of the Oscars last night. Her chart comparing the penguins' appearance versus George Clooney's is brilliant! (What else do you expect from Bridget?) [Read More]
» Contrast from Vox
GOP Vixen watched the Oscars, too. She seems to give Clooney about as much regard as I do....... [Read More]

I discussed my (limited) view of the Oscars. I did not actually watch them, though. Just came across an article on the show in general. You can see it here, if you're interested:

I linked my just-posted trackback to this post by mistake before! Silly me.

Very astute observations, Now can't you do anything for the women you work with? I just read what the "women staff writers" said on link from the Corner. Couldn't you get the disclaimer;).

I am heartened by the fact that my Clooney analysis came out on National Review a couple days before that of my lovestruck co-workers....

Is this what the Looney Clooney Penquin is headed for http://www.pinguins.info/Algemeen/acoustic2.gif

All I can say is, I'd much rather go out on a date with George, than with one of those penguins!

Aw, go on. The penguin's cuter.
Then again, perhaps if George didn't open his mouth so much, he'd be able to regain some of his Sinatra-esque 'classic hollywood' aura
...But we know that's not going to happen..

I think the penguin would also actually call you the next day, too.

'Didn't watch the oscars (I was watching the Furia Musica Awards on channel 34 in L.A.)
However, I'd watch a penguin any day over G. Looney, who couldn't even portray a cartoon character (Batman) with any style.

It's a bit redundant to be a George Clooney fan. Since nobody is a bigger George Clooney fan than George Clooney.

When George was saluting the Academy for Hattie McDaniel's Oscar in 1939 (for her wonderful portrayal of "Mammy"), he forgot to mention Hollywood giving the second African-American supporting actress award a little over 50(!) years later. And maybe blacks were forced to sit in the backs of theatres back then (I'm too young to know and I grew up in the Midwest), but I always thought the back seats were cherished for the viewing angle and sound reception, plus back-row make-out privliges.
