"Here, white fluffy stuff you can catch on your tongue falls from the sky, and kids get a snow day."
I remember going to school on a day not to long after a atomic bomb test in Nevada. It was snowing during recess and we were told not to eat the snow. Not just the yellow kind. We could play in it, just don't eat it. Were not that tough anymore.

It was snowing one December day in Almaty, Kazakhstan as we all stood out in front of my friend's home cum studio but the snow was ash from the nearby power plant that heats that part of the city-hell it looked like the real thing with a bit of seasoning to it.
